Four scholarships of $2,000 each are awarded annually by the Friends of Volo Bog: two for students entering college to study environmental or natural sciences, and two for students already enrolled in college who are pursuing an environmental or natural science degree.

The ACEC California Scholarship Foundation awards annual scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 to students studying engineering and land surveying at California colleges. For the 2026–2027 (26‑27) academic year, the Foundation will distribute up to $100,000 in scholarships. In addition, some applicants who attend school, live, or list a hometown in Riverside/San Bernardino, Orange County, Los Angeles, or San Diego may be eligible for additional chapter awards totaling as much as $50,000 from local ACEC California chapters.
