Schulze College Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation
Established in 2014, the Schulze Family Foundation College Scholarship helps students finish college with reduced student loan burdens.
Impact through eight cohorts:
- Recipients from the program’s first eight years have completed their undergraduate degrees, entered the labor market, or continued on to graduate-level study.
- The awards have enabled scholars to take on less debt for tuition, spend more time studying instead of working, and enjoy the full college experience with fewer financial distractions.
Application window and award term:
- Applications for the 2026–27 academic year are accepted from January 5, 2026, through April 1, 2026.
- Scholarships are renewable for up to four consecutive years, provided students enroll full time and maintain satisfactory academic progress.
Selection profile:
Strong applicants will show notable involvement in school, community, and/or church activities and demonstrate solid high school academic performance.
Eligibility requirements (applicants must meet all):
- U.S. citizen
- Graduate of an eligible high school in 2026
- Minimum unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Documented unmet financial need via the FAFSA
- Will not be receiving the federal Pell Grant (need-based federal grant)
- Plan to enroll as a full-time, degree-seeking student at an accredited four-year college or university
- Minnesota students who attended a Catholic high school must have completed their elementary education at a Catholic school
If you meet these criteria and are interested, prepare your FAFSA and application materials before the January 5, 2026 opening date.
