Overview
The Utah Trappers Association (UTA) is proud to fund its annual scholarship program. At the UTA convention in September we present two scholarships, each valued at $1,000. Applicants of any age who are pursuing higher education are welcome to apply; preference will be given to students in programs related to Wildlife Conservation and the Environment.
Award details
- Two (2) scholarships of $1,000 each
- Recipients announced and awards presented at the UTA convention in September
Deadline
- Completed applications must be postmarked by August 1, 2026.
Who is eligible
Applicants must meet all of the following:
1. Be enrolled in a college program (preference for majors or programs in Wildlife Conservation and the Environment).
2. Not be a previous recipient of the UTA Scholarship.
3. Be a current UTA member or a relative of a UTA member.
4. There is no age restriction—open to anyone seeking to continue their education.
Application materials
Submit the following items as part of your application packet:
- Completed application information form (UTA Scholarship Packet).
- Copy of the college acceptance letter for the program in which you are enrolled.
- Two letters of recommendation.
- Official or unofficial transcripts (copy).
- An essay of at least 500 words addressing both:
• Your conservation philosophy concerning wildlife as a renewable resource.
• The ways you plan to contribute to wildlife conservation efforts.
- Any additional relevant documentation (e.g., awards, certificates, related experience).
Please ensure all materials are included and the packet is postmarked by August 1, 2026.
