Accepting Applications for Fall 2025
Leadership is a quality that can be innate or cultivated over time. Regardless of how you acquired it, your leadership abilities have likely influenced your life and the lives of those around you. Leadership prepares you for future challenges and equips you with the necessary skills for post-college success.
Philip Moore, an attorney, has incorporated the values of diligence, honesty, and integrity into his legal practice. Through the Moore Family Law, P.C. Leadership Excellence Scholarship, he aims to offer financial support to individuals who embody these values. Each semester, the firm provides a $1,000 scholarship to leaders for their higher education. Our law firm, based in Frisco, Texas, encourages students to introspect and identify the fundamental qualities of a true leader.
Eligibility Criteria
Students who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply for the Leadership Excellence Scholarship:
- The student is currently or will be a member of their university’s Greek life.
- The student has achieved a GPA of 3.0 or higher in their most recent academic semester.
- The student is currently enrolled as an undergraduate at an accredited college or university within the United States for the upcoming semester. We are not accepting applications from high school or graduate students at this time.
- The student will be at least 18 years old at the time the award is distributed.
Leaders often share certain characteristics. They inspire others, delegate effectively, and are confident and committed to their goals. What do you believe are the best qualities of a leader? Which of your traits have contributed to your leadership development?
Applicants must also provide proof of enrollment, documentation of their GPA, and consent to publish their essay.
How to Apply
Students applying for our scholarship are required to answer the question below. The response can be in the form of a 500-1000 word essay or a video of 4 minutes or less.
Assessment Procedure
Our scholarship committee will review each application immediately after the deadline. Applications are evaluated based on the following criteria:
- The applicant meets all eligibility requirements and has submitted all necessary documents.
- The applicant's essay/video thoroughly addresses the provided prompt in a structured and professional manner.
- The applicant's essay/video is of high quality and demonstrates creativity.
